Visit with the First Lady of Paraguay

On our last day in Paraguay, the children had an opportunity to meet the First Lady of Paraguay at the Presidential Residence. She is known for her love of children and her work to improve conditions for Paraguayan children. She is also a supporter of adoption both within and beyond Paraguay. Our children presented her with contributions for the victims of the terrible fire that killed nearly 400 people several weeks before our visit. It was also an opportunity to show her how loved these children who were born in Paraguay and raised in the united States were.

The President's Residence is guarded by the typical Paraguayan "Lucky Chickens".

Presentation of gifts for victims of the fire.

In the waiting room.

Each child received a hug from Her Excellency.

These were heartfelt hugs - the children will keep this memory with them as they think about the country where they were born.
