Course Description
This foundation course examines the project management framework.
Students are introduced to key terms used in project management. Students
examine project management knowledge areas and practices and study
to see how they are integrated into the project management process.
Students are introduced to the Project Management Body
of Knowledge (PMBOK), which describes the sum of knowledge within the
profession of project management. Students examine the application
of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to meet project requirements.

Course Description
This course examines the principles and concepts essential to administering
large procurement programs. Procurement planning and strategies are examined
in macro and micro environments. Various stages of the requirement, requisition,
solicitation, and award cycle are examined. Students examine various types
of contracts that are used in procurement.

Course Description
This course examines the various organizational designs used to effectively complete
projects through people. Students explore ways in which to resolve conflict and
how to negotiate. Students are expected to develop effective teams to enhance
project performance.
Students will study the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK 2000) Project
Human Resource Management knowledge area and the PMBOK 2000 Initiating, Planning,
Executing, Controlling, and Closing process groups.
